Wandering Oceans
Breathtaking, full of emotion and spirit, combined with a lot of practical information. Peter Stuivenberg sailed around the world and experienced all oceans. He lived with Maaike in the Caribbean, the Acores, Surinam and Brazil. Subjects: the coasts of South America, Canaries, Polynesia, Fiji, Tonga, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, India, Acores and lots and lots more. Peter is a storyteller with in between a lot of information about cyclone-and storm tactics, doldrums, meteorology and routing, practical seamanship, satellite communication and navigation, short-handed sailing, equipment, deck-layout, sail-trim, safety. Peter wrote three books about his sailing adventures (A World Sailing By, Homesick Horizons and Offshore Sailing).


Light And Heavy Weather Sailing
Sails, sail trim, deck layout, storm tactics, tropical waves and hurricanes, routing and meteorology, man-over-board maneuvers, survival training, under cooling, clothing, safety equipment, fire, boarding a life raft, harnesses and mayday. Peter Stuivenberg sailed eight oceans, experienced 5 heavy storms and hurricane Irene (Caribbean) and was shipwrecked. Peter wrote three books about his sailing adventures (A World Sailing By, Homesick Horizons and Offshore Sailing).
