Our location is the beautiful area of Saldanha Bay on the West Coast of South Africa. Just about 120 kilometres north of Cape Town, in close reach of the Saldanha-Vredenburg airport (small planes only).
The huge Bay, one of the biggest natural harbours in the world, offers excellent relaxed, sportive and competitive around the year sailing conditions. And just outside the Bay you will experience the magnificent Atlantic Ocean!
The protected adjacent Langebaan Lagoon in the middle of the West Coast Park provides excellent kayaking and mountain biking, while the entrance of the Bay with the incoming swell of the High Seas offers first class survival opportunities in one of our life rafts.
The accommodation at Blouwaterbaai Resort (self-catering lodges, elegant hotel rooms and secured conference rooms) is situated on the beach of Saldanha Bay, about 1.5 kilometre out of the charming small town Saldanha. The resort is very private, embraces tranquillity and can be entered quite anonymous via provincial roads. SY CrossRoads will be moored in front of it. This beach will also be the pick up place - by boat - for those who book a Survival Xtreme training or wish to visit the islands in the bay.
From the resort it is only a small 10 minutes drive to the Langebaan Lagoon and the fringing West Coast Park for the combined mountain bike and kayak treasure hunt between ostriches and antelopes!
A smaller group (up to 10 persons) that prefers to stay in the laid back town and that loves socialising we offer the charming and cosy accommodation at Captains Cabin.
