From perfect flat water to the wild Caribbean sea, passing historical places and lots of flying fish. This trip is a must for the less faint-hearted and curious.

Clothing requirements: A jacket (wind chill, spray water), long trousers and light and comfortable shoes (the Adidas and Nikes alike). Further don’t forget a towel, sun cream and sun glasses.

Please note that this trip requires some stamina, the faint-hearted should stay on shore.

Cameras and cellphones should be water protected. But not to worry, we store your precious items below deck and we will provide you with GoPro footage of the trip, that can be downloaded via a bluetooth connection on to your phone.

We will have a basic lunch, coffee, tea and snacks on board. However, if you wish to have a gourmet meal and a nice Cabernet-Sauvignon, please feel free to take your diet on board.

Toilet on board.

A minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 participants.

We pick you up at Harbor Village Marine or Karelse Bar.

On board of the CrossRoads we have an introduction and safety briefing and select the persons who wish to play an active part in the sailing: sail trim and handling, winch and rope handling, steering etc.

We start with a fast down-wind leg, heading South-West, following the West coast of the Island over beautiful flat waters. Enjoy the adrenaline rush from the accelerating speed. Following the coast to the rough and wet windward side of the Island. Passing Lac Bay, Wachington park and hadding back between Bonaire and Small Bonaire to Kralendijk.

The estimated time of arrival, weather permitting.

Bonaire, an island municipality of the Netherlands, lies off Venezuela’s coast in the southern Caribbean. Its reef-lined coast is protected by Bonaire National Marine Park. Beyond its rich marine life, the island shelters lizards, donkeys and birds within its immense Washington Slagbaai National Park, marked by beaches, lagoons, caverns and desert-like hills.

Need 4 Speed

A day sailing with the CrossRoads is an adventure. We will surprise you all the way. First, we teach you how to sail. If you wish you can helm the yacht, navigate and change sail. And if you want and, on the condition, that you master the basics of sailing we will give you the opportunity to settle a record time on the trajected Karelse Bar (start 150-meters west) to Punt Vierkant (200-meter west), 4.7 NM.

This is our race-course. We set the sails between Harbour Village Marine and Karelse Bar and pass Karelse Bar at high speed. In a strong wind, we can make a mind-blowing 20 plus knots. The audience on shore will be flabbergasted. The time with your names will be published on the website Global-Unlimited, so go for it! Keep the CrossRoads the fastest 50ft Racer on Bonaire.

Note that you will always be responsible for your own safety during the trip and that you have to follow the instructions of the skippers, who will always be concerned about your well-being. The skippers carry high credentials: both are certified Yacht Master Ocean. The yacht is rated in the race division of the Caribbean Sailing Association and is in full race condition with brand-new racing sails.
